    Description: This Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) invites applications from institutions proposing to develop, or renew, an Alzheimer's Disease Research Center (ADRC). The National Institute on Aging (NIA) funds ADRCs at major medical institutions across the United States. NIA-funded ADRCs serve as a national resource for research related to Alzheimers disease (AD) and AD-related dementias (ADRD). Additionally, ADRCs work to translate research advances into improved diagnosis and care, as well as find ways to treat, and possibly prevent, AD/ADRD. Lastly, ADRCs collaborate and coordinate their research efforts with other programs and investigators funded by the National Institutes of Health (NIH).
